Zusammenfassung

Adequate nutrition is a basic necessity and is a primary human right. In Hungary this is the first time when the nutritional state of such a high number of patients admitted to hospital was screened. Our previous and present examinations revealed that dietetic services are inevitable under the present circumstances. The Association of Hungarian Dietitians organized a conference on the topic of screening, therapy and everyday aspects of disease-related malnutrition in order to draw the public attention to the problems.
