Zusammenfassung

Aim of the study: Despite the widely accepted weight gain phenomenon in patients undergoing antipsychotic treatment, and the high prevalence of obesity in schizophrenic patients, few studies investigated dietary habits of these patients. Furthermore, none of these previous studies controlled the diet reporting quality. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diet of schizophrenic treated women undergoing dietary treatment and to compare it with non psychiatric women that underwent this treatment, and to estimate underreporting in this population.
