Objective: The purpose of this study was to determinate and compare the microbiological quality of a ready to hang enteral formula (RHEF)at 0 and 48 hours after kept at room temperature. The procedure methods: The RHEF were hanged and kept at room temperature (22±3°C) during 48 hours in the hospital. The RHEF were not administrated to patients. Feed samples were taken at time 0 and 48 hours and frozen at –70°C. Count of mesophilas (ME), total coliforms (TC) and faecal coliforms (FC) bacterias were investigated.
