Zusammenfassung

Aim of the study: In the year 2000 the Division of Nutrition at the Department of Pediatrics (Medical University Vienna) developed and implemented an outpatient Therapy-Program for severely obese children – the MO-Program. Method: The MO-Program is carried at an outpatient basis. The specified duration of the therapy is between six and twelve months. In fact, the 73 children, who took part in the years 2000 to 2005, stayed 1 to 21 months in the program (Ø 6.7 months, Ø BMI=34.0, Ø age=13.5 years, ♀/♂=43/31).
