Zusammenfassung

As part of an on going study into osteoporosis in a Swiss elderly population, the relation between nutrition and bone health indices has been assessed in 401 ambulatory women from Lausanne (mean age 80.4yrs, mean BMI 24.9kg/m2). Assessment of dietary intake is a critical component in the determination of the effect of nutritional factors on osteoporosis. For this purpose, a new Swiss food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) has been developed.
