Background:: Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Klinikum is a tertiary level hospital with a bed capacity of > 1.000 and more than 40.000 inpatients annually in North-East-Germany. Since 2013, MDR GNB registered in our hospital are classified according to the nomenclature defined by Hospital Hygiene Commission (KRINKO) in 3 (resistant to three of four antibiotic groups) or 4 MDR GNB (with additional resistance to carbapenems).
