Zusammenfassung
Aim: The purpose of this systematic review is to provide evidence of the effect of IDPN on serum-albumin and mortality in haemodialysis patients (HDP) with protein-energy wasting (PEW) in order to reduce mortality, improve health, and extend patients' chances for kidney transplantation. Background: Malnutrition appears to be common in HDP and frequently reported in the literature. IDPN is an infusion of amino acids, glucose, and fat into the arterial dialysis chamber, and is one approach for treating the multiple causes of PEW.
