Zusammenfassung

Introduction: Chronic overnutrition is strongly linked to subclinical inflammation and the development of metabolic disease. In the current study, the regulation of the novel adipokine amyloid precursor protein (APP) by the proinflammatory and insulin resistance-inducing cytokine tumor necrosis factor (TNF) α was determined in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Methods: Differentiated 3T3-L1 Adipocytes were stimulated with recombinant TNFα. Total RNA was isolated and APP mRNA expression was analyzed by quantitative real-time RT-PCR.
