Background: Chronic heart failure is a major cardiac disease, going along with a high economic burden. Diagnostic and therapy differ depending on etiology of chronic heart failure. The present work analyses disease-related resource use and associated costs of systolic chronic heart failure with respect to the etiology of the disease.
