For affected persons multimorbidity is a major burden that leads to impairment of the quality of life, including mobility and restrictions on self-sufficiency. As a result, mental disorders, particularly depression, often occur [4]. Multimorbidity is also commonly associated with cognitive disorders [12] and leads to increased mortality [29].
