IntroductionThe aim of this article is to present an overview on post-acute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) geriatric rehabilitation from a European perspective. The article discusses the impact of the pandemic on older people and the increased need but depleted resources for geriatric rehabilitation leading to the rehabilitation paradox. The main elements of the European guidance on post-acute COVID-19 geriatric rehabilitation are summarized as are the aim and design of the EU-COGER study, a multicentre observational cohort study in geriatric rehabilitation services across Europe.
