Zusammenfassung

Background Food insecurity (FI) has previously been associated with childhood obesity. The COVID19 pandemic has affected the economy and lifestyle, increasing vulnerability to FI and obesity. We aimed to assess the risk of food insecurity during 2020-2021 in a sample of Viennese school children and its association with obesity and dietary factors. Methods Fifty-five parents of 8- to-11-year-old children were asked to complete a questionnaire, and the children's weight, height and body composition were measured.
