Introduction Meralgia paraesthetica (MP) is a condition characterised by neuropathic pain and altered sensation in the lateral thigh, commonly caused by compression or injury of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN), e. g. through obesity, tight clothing, ascites or post-partum.
