Zusammenfassung

Background: ActiGraph is widely used to measure physical activity in field studies. However, there is limited research on the validity in older adults. As the metabolic cost of ambulation is greater in older adults and their gait can be different, this research is needed. Therefore, the aims of this study are (1) to identify the best placement for the accelerometer (ACC) and (2) to create novel equations to predict intensity of physical activity with ActiGraph.
