Zusammenfassung

Background: The Multiple Source Method (MSM) was developed to model dietary intake using repeated short-term measurements. The MSM considers reported days without consumption, estimates within-person and between-person variance, and can be applied to skewed consumption-amount distributions. Empirical and simulated studies showed that the first version of MSM has also comparable performance and features to similar statistical methods (e. g. Verly-Jr Br J Nutr. 2016: 116(05), 897 – 903).
