Background: Accumulating evidence has emerged suggesting an association between physical activity and lower risk of colon cancer; however, the underlying biological mechanisms remain largely unknown. We quantified potential mediation effect of body fatness and biomarkers of various biologically plausible pathways on the association between physical activity and colon cancer.
