Zusammenfassung

Einleitung With the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, governmental measures including restrictions of personal contacts and social distancing were imposed to slow the spread of COVID-19. Since the elderly are at increased risk of infection, they were particularly affected by these measures. At the same time, the measures may negatively affect mental health by increasing risk for loneliness and social isolation that in turn constitute risk factors for depressive symptoms.
