Einleitung In old age, dementia is one of the most common mental illnesses. Dementia may be associated with more than ten risk factors (e. g. , arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease). Risk models can be used to calculate individual dementia risk based on lifestyle. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of the Cardiovascular Risk Factors, Aging, and Incidence of Dementia (CAIDE) score with other risk or protective factors as well as with the Lifestyle for Brain Health (LIBRA) score.
