Introduction Adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) face significant challenges, requiring a high level of health literacy (HL) to prevent complications. It remains unclear what potential distal technologies have for promoting HL among adolescents with T1DM, as viewed by experts and patients.
