Background Diseases of various organs may appear after a COVID-19 infection. This rapid review aims to investigate whether there is an increased risk of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after a SARS-CoV-2 infection as well as to characterize the risk at defined time intervals between infection and the onset of AMI. Methods The review protocol was registered with PROSPERO. We searched for observational studies in Medline, Embase, and medRxiv.
