Introduction The prevalence of dementia increases worldwide. Evidence suggests a set of modifiable risk factors, which is being addressed by an increasing amount of lifestyle interventions. Differences between men and women exist in prevalence and incidence of dementia but also in modifiable risk factors. Because of those differences, gender-separated perspectives are gaining in relevance.
