The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) makes it clear that in addition to body functions and structures, activities, participation, and contextual factors are also crucial for understanding voice disorders. An ICF-oriented diagnostics and participatory therapy planning can help to improve the care of voice disordered patients. This paper demonstrates how voice disorders can be described within the ICF framework.
