Zusammenfassung

Public Health plays a key role in healthcare provision in the event of national defense or alliance defense. This key role arises from the population-, burden-of-disease-based and health-oriented approach of Public Health, combined with its strong network on the supra-national level. Public Health can therefore assume a coordinating function at civil society-military, federal-state, and interministerial interfaces.
