Psychosen in der hausärztlichen Praxis frühzeitig erkennen

Psychotic disorders impose a significant burden on individuals and healthcare systems. Typically, psychosis is preceded by early symptoms such as attenuated psychotic symptoms or thought disturbances. Identifying these symptoms as indicators of a high-risk state for psychosis allows timely and targeted prevention and early intervention. Therefore, early recognition and referral to specialist centres by general practitioners is critical to increase the chances of recovery, maintenance of good functioning and prevention of full-blown psychotic episodes.
