Zusammenfassung

The famous fictional archaeologist Dr. Jones is confronted with various dangers on his travels and adventures. Some of these are also relevant for “normal” outdoor workers and business travelers. Examples from Dr. Jones show how health risks from UV radiation, climatic stress, and infection hazards can be reduced in practice using occupational medicine and travel medicine principles.
