Abstract Background Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is one of the major and potentially life-threatening complications following major orthopedic surgeries. Research evidence comparing the effectiveness of rivaroxaban and enoxaparin for thromboprophylaxis specific to total hip arthroplasty (THA) has been limited.
