Identification of genes early responsive to gamma-irradiation in isolated rat hepatocytes in vitro and rat liver in vivo by cDNA array gene expression analysis

Purpose : Radiation-induced-liver-disease is a dose-limiting complication in radiotherapy of abdominal cancer. The pathogenesis of hepatocellular damage after irradiation is still obscure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate differentially expressed genes in isolated hepatocytes and rat liver after irradiation by cDNA array gene expression analysis, real time PCR, and western blot.
