Objectives: to define predictors of gastric emptying (GE) rate in patients with idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease (PD) of a solid and liquid meal. Methods: For measurement of GE 40 patients with PD were given a solid meal (250 kcal) containing 100mg 13C-octanoate as well as 40 patients were given a liquid meal (350ml, 315 kcal) with 100mg 13C-acetate.
