Zusammenfassung

Abstract The heterogeneous clinical appearance, the frequently associated hypersensitivity with difficult anaesthesia, and the reduced adhesive bond of teeth with molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges for dentists in the treatment of affected patients. In this article, these challenges are discussed and specific therapeutic approaches are proposed. Furthermore, factors that facilitate the assessment of the prognosis of teeth affected by MIH are presented.
