Surgical Options in Pediatric cataract surgery

Purpose: To compare the results of pediatric cataract surgeruies using PMMA IOLs, hydrophobic acrylic IOLs, hydrophilic IOLs. Methods: This is a retrospective review of 113 eyes that had undergone cataract surgery with optic capturing (Group I: 40 eyes, with PMMA IOLs [Pharmacia & Upjohn 811C®]) (Group II: 57 eyes, with hydrophobic Acrylic IOLs [Acrysof MA60BM®]) (Group III: 42eyes, with hydrophilic Acrylic IOLs [Bausch & Lomb H60M®]).
