Reevaluation of annexin I expression in benign breast tissue and breast cancer

Biological insights into the role that annexin I plays in normal and aberrant cellular function may implicate this molecule as key mediator of cell growth and cell cycle modulation. In order to examine the protein expression profile of annexin I in normal, precancerous and malignant breast tissue, we generated pure cell lysates using laser capture microdissection.
