Solid breast mass: Ultrasound criteria and histologic correlationt – BIRADS systems

Purpose: To determine the correlation of the ultrasound criteria of the solid breast lesions with cytologic and histologic correlation – for evaluation of solid breast lesions by BI- RADS systems. Materials and methods: We performed between XII. 1995 and XII. 2006–38 MG examinations and 59 204 US examinations. Into this retrospective study were included 918 new cases of the solid breast lesions. The women were 14–91 years old. The lesions were evaluated according to 9 ultrasound criterion and ware marked 1 or 0 (1 for malignancy, 0 for benign).Our hypothesis was: the lesions marked 0–2 are benign (BIRADS 2),3–4…
