Ultrasound elastography in the follow-up of a superficial vein thrombosis: a case report

Purpose: To depict the potential role of ultrasound elastography in the follow-up of a peripheral vein thrombosis. Method: A case report of a patient with thrombosis of the jugular vein examined sequentially by B-mode ultrasonography and ultrasound elastography. Results: Common treatment methods in the case of a venous thrombosis include medication with anticoagulants or surgical thrombectomy.
