Zusammenfassung

Abstract In the first part of this paper, we describe important psychopathological, psychodynamic and psychosocial aspects of depressive disorders, focussing on out- and inpatient psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment of depressed people. In the second part, principles of therapy and the combination of psychopharmacological, psychotherapeutic and socialtherapeutic measures are discussed.
