Quality of life in COPD patients in combination with diabetes mellitus type 2

The aim of our study was to analyze quality of life (QL) in COPD patients in combination with diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) as well as to find connection between subjective sensations and objective data of COPD severity. The 1st group consisted of 26 patients (males 46%) with COPD (average disease duration 20yrs) and DM2 (average disease duration 7yrs), body mass index (BMI)=32,4kg/m2, average age 54±5yrs (mean±SD); 32% and 68% patients had subcompensation stage of DM2 (glicated hemoglobin (HBA1c)=7,4±0,3%,) and decompensation stage (HBA1c=9,6±1,4%).
