DIAGNOSTIC POWER OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY IN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT:

Purpose: Purpose of study was to show diagnostic help of echocardiography to reduce not necessary hospitalization and right orientation of patients with chest pain. Methods and Materials: In time period from 01.May.2004 to 31.July.2004 are registered 73 patients with chest pain, 50 (68%) males and 23 (32%) females. Mean age was 47 years, all older than 18 years. In all of them was made thransthoracic echocardiography to establish or rule out diagnosis for life threatening conditions.
