AdipoR1 expression in invasive and preinvasive breast cancer

Objective: A clear inverse correlation between adiponectin serum level and breast cancer risk has been established. Adiponectin seems to inhibit tumor cell growth mainly via AdipoR1 in some but not all breast cancer cell lines. In the present study we investigated AdipoR1 expression in invasive breast cancer and adjacent as well as non-adjacent preinvasive breast cancer.
