Medical students’ attitude toward mental illness

Background/Objectives: Stigmatisation of mental illnesses still frequently occurs in society. Its negative impact on those affected has already clearly been indicated. Health professionals are well placed to contribute to tackling this stigma in the public as well as in patients. On the other hand, it has been shown that health professionals themselves are not free from stigmatising attitudes.
