Zusammenfassung
Abstract A 67-year-old female patient suffering from chronic gastritis presented at the emergency department with increasing epigastric pain. Abdominal computed tomography revealed an intramural foreign body at the gastric outlet. A demanding, time-consuming endoscopic dissection of the foreign body under radiological control followed. After the swelling of the mucosa had subsided, we recovered a fishbone in a second session. The complex endoscopic intervention prevented surgical intervention for the patient.
