Zusammenfassung

AbstractFrontotemporal dementias (FTD) are among the rare dementias. Their symptomatology is - compared to the common Alzheimer’s disease - atypical, so that in many cases it takes a long time until a correct diagnosis is made. The following article gives an overview of the clinical symptoms, genetic and neuropathological basis, diagnostics and differential diagnostics and therapy.
