Pediatric Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery in pediatric population poses specific challenges to the surgeon. Appropriate strategies that retard the incidence of central posterior capsule opacification and facilitate in the bag implantation of the IOL are highlighted. Results of AcrySof implantation with a three years followup shall be discussed. The attendee shall be able to learn the surgical principles that could promote visual rehabilitation.
