Zusammenfassung

Purpose: To present of a case of polycythemia vera (PV) with spontaneous intraabdominal hematomas associated with arterial aneurysm formations. Methods and Materials: A 73-year-old man was admitted to the hospital suffering from epigastric abdominal discomfort. Ultrasonography (US) and multidetector computerized tomography (MDCT) examinations were performed. MDCT angiography images were obtained Results: US examination revealed 8×8cm and 4.5×4cm sized hematomas in the subhepatic area. Doppler US examination showed aneurysmatic filling in the smaller one.
