Evaluation of FDG-PET-scan for detecting pelvic and para-aortic lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine corpus cancer

Aims: In order to decrease surgery related morbidity, we evaluated the reliability of preoperative evaluation by positron emission tomography (PET) with 2-[18F]fluoro–2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) for detecting pelvic and para-aortic lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine corpus cancer before surgical staging.
