The performances of ultrasonography in appreciating acute pancreatitis' severity

Aims: To evaluate the performance of ultrasound (US) in appreciating acute epigastric pain. The sensitivity of the method was determined both globally and depending on the different causes, focusing on the role of ultrasound in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis, depending on the degrees of severity of the disease.
