Ultrasonography in the diagnosis and follow-up of pediatric solid tumors

Aim: To present the experience of a single center of pediatric oncology in the ultrasound (US) diagnosis and follow-up of malignant solid tumors. Material and method: Gray-scale imaging can readily identify the presence of solid tumors within the abdominal or thoracic cavity as well as those involving the soft tissues of extremities. A 3.5–5MHz convex probe and a 7.5–10MHz linear probe were used in the assesement of all patients.
