The edifications of our duodenum carcinoma cases

Introduction: The malignant tumors of the small intestine are very rare, approximately 1% of the gastrointestinal malignomas. Their incidence is 0.3–2.0: 100000 per person. The most frequent is the adenocarcinoma (50%), followed by the carcinoid tumors (20%), lymphoma (20%) and the leimyosarcoma (10%). In about half of the cases the adenocarcinoma is situated in the duodenum. Case presentation: In our gastroenterology department during 2008–2009 we have diagnosed 3 duodenum adenocarcinoma cases.
