Purpose: To give an overview on the technical features of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) in the investigation of demential diseases and to present the results of cross-sectional and longitudinal clinical studies for early diagnosis and follow-up monitoring of cognitive decline using this non-invasive method of metabolic assessment.
