10 years of NICE guideline development in mental health

Background/Objectives: This paper will describe the context within which NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) began at the end of the 1990's and focus particularly on the development of the National Collaborating Centres (NCCs). Furthermore, it will report on the NICE guidelines programme in mental health for the last 10 years delivered by the NCC for Mental Health.
