The Lgr5 positive intestinal stem cell signature

In this study, we used transcriptomics and proteomics to define the molecular signature of murine Lgr5 positive intestinal stem cells. Using flow cytometry, we sorted GFP positive cells from Lgr5-EGFP-ires-CreERT2 knock-in mice, profiled the mRNA signature with two array platforms and correlated the transcriptional signature to protein levels measured by quantitative Mass-Spectometry. Combining the three datasets, a definitive signature comprising 500 genes was established.
