Parotid gland sonoelastography in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the sonoelastographic findings of parotid, submandibular and thyroid gland in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome. Material and methods: In this study Siemens Acuson S2000 ultrasound device with 9 MHz transducer and Hitachi Avius ultrasound device with 13 MHz transducer are used. The patient group consists of clinically proven primary Sjögren's syndrome and the control group consists of healthy individuals at same age range.
